sight & sound photo walk: moving through the city, one song at a time

on may 10th, we pulled up for the first ever sight & sound photo walk, and honestly, seattle showed out. we met up in occidental square and by the time we got started, it was already clear—this was our biggest turnout yet. so many new faces, every skill level you could think of, and that early summer energy in the air.

we kicked things off by queuing up the playlist (shout out to lex for curating the perfect vibe), then headed north on 2nd. people drifted in and out of little clusters, sharing shots, talking gear, or just letting the music set the pace. this was one of those walks where nobody was in a rush. every block, you’d see someone stop, frame up a shot, and someone else lean over just to see what they were capturing.

halfway through, we hit pike place—classic chaos. the group split up, got lost in the crowd and the fish-throwing energy, but somehow, everyone found their way back. from there we pushed through belltown, took over a few crosswalks, and made our way up to seattle center as the sun started dropping.

if you missed it, you missed a good one. the playlist carried us the whole way, people were still trading songs and shots at the end, and it felt like one of those rare nights where everybody’s in sync—even if we all shoot differently. this is the stuff that makes the sfc community what it is: people coming together, moving through the city, sharing the vibe, and making something out of nothing.

biggest thanks to lex for the sounds, and to everyone who showed up, brought their friends, and just let themselves get lost in the moment. more of this soon.
