sfc presents: playback

on june 28th, we took over the lemon grove in pioneer square for the first sfc playback. the premise is simple: get a roomful of people to actually listen to an album—this time, gnx—front to back. no skipping, just a shared focus on the music.

during playback, people weren’t just sitting around—folks were dancing, vibing, letting the album wash over them. the energy felt right. nobody was trying to impress anyone. it was just genuine curiosity, swapping favorite tracks in real time, putting each other onto new artists, and feeling the room shift together.

playback came out of a selfish impulse: i just wanted to listen to music with other people, for real. not at a show, not as background noise, but as the main event. turns out, a lot of us needed that.

we’ll run it back soon. next time, bring a friend or just bring your full attention. sfc is more than photos. it’s about actually paying attention—to sound, to each other, to the moment.
